You know that moment when your students know the words “freundlich”, “faul” or “ehrlich”, but when they have to describe someone’s character, all you hear is “Er ist nett”?

PERSÖNLICHKEITS-FLIP was created to bring personality vocabulary to life in real conversation. The board features two rings with 24 character traits: positive qualities and their opposites. Players tell stories from real life, books and films, defend their choices, build teams for missions and act out scenes. At the most unexpected moment, someone shouts “FLIP!”, the wheel turns, and the characters suddenly have to change the way they behave.

Students don’t feel like they are doing just another exercise. They speak because they want to convince others, make the group laugh or win the round – and with every turn they use the new words with more and more confidence.

With five different game variants, it works perfectly in one-to-one lessons, group classes, private tutoring, language schools and at home. You can use it as a quick warm-up or as the main part of the lesson.

PERSÖNLICHKEITS-FLIP “grows” with the learner. At lower levels, players describe simple situations and answer questions. With more advanced students, you can develop argumentation, role-play, storytelling and justifying choices – for example, whether a particular trait helps or gets in the way in the job of a pilot or a teacher.

It’s the perfect game for teachers and parents who want their students to speak more, more boldly and more naturally – without constantly having to ask: “Beschreib mal, wie er ist.”
